During the performance of Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova’s song ‘Falling Slowly’ at the Oscars the other night, it was strange to see that the set design people had recreated Waltons’ music store on South Great George’s Street in Dublin (where the scene in the film ‘Once’ takes place), seemingly by nailing a bunch of Gibson Les Pauls to a wire mesh.

Its the way to go really. Apparently Waltons are getting these guys in to redesign their store.

I read that Gibson are in talks with Hansard about manufacturing a replica of the famously dilapidated guitar he used to serenade Irglová with. Seemingly production has been delayed as Hansard has had problems choosing between ‘The Infinite Hole’ or ‘The Aged Hole’.

I just watched ‘Once’ for the 1st time yesterday I thought it was lovely and I liked the music but I hated the more “realistic” style ending :( That said well all I could do was laugh when I read the above especially the responses :)
