As ever, the government got in. But, in the run-up to the election, the lamp posts of Ireland became something of a playground for any disenchanted citizens armed with a felt-tip pen. Here’s a couple of really great examples: a regal Dick Roche and a highly elaborate ruse which involves a Chris Andrews poster, some sticky-backed plastic and the Count from Sesame Street.
